The spiral bands dance circles around an empty core. Vivid greens, oranges and specks of red filll the map in front of me. I watch as together these blobs of color march to the top left of the frame. Soon they will no longer hide the sea blue filling, but shift their way on top of the dull brown mass.
Straight black lines stretch across the higher brown. Below a more random, jagged nature composes these dark streaks. Intersecting one from the other, a bold and familiar line of particular importance runs northwest, drains to the southeast.
If the track carries more north than east, 300 million will be drawn to attention. 'No, it's not as bad as her, but do still watch'. If she lowers herself below the great divider, more pressing issues will be reported. A meager 50 mile difference will sell the show.

Katie's Kronicles: Celebrating Monday
Author: Katie
I overheard one of the kids at my work relating his weekend to his therapist. “I ate pancakes and I jumped on a trampoline and I went to a birthday party and I waited for Monday.” I couldn’t contain my delighted surprise - I burst out laughing. I love the sound of that! Unlike the rest of us, who spend our weeks waiting for Saturday, this wise child spends his weekend waiting for Monday.

Sleeping Heroes
Author: Kevin
Our bodies must rest. We require inactivity. Yet we're so afraid of the dark. The sunsets hours before the TV shuts off. The lights of the city never go away. "The best never rest" is a rather appaling quotation. The best require rest.

Why writing left me...
Author: Kevin
So, I've been running Our Kith for over a year and a half now. It's been dead silent for the past six months. I blame it on people being busy with school, too stressed or too drained to spend a good hour working up something to write. Since my time in school last semester, I've written less than one paragraph. There's a reason for that.
